About Me: My name is Susan van Gelder. I have been working in education for over thirty years, first as a classroom teacher, then as an ICT teacher and now as an educational consultant.

This blog was started in 2009 when I started participating in a Flickr group of educators. The goal was to post a photo a day. I decided I also wanted to write. I have experimented with a variety of genres from simple description to editorials to poetry. I no longer feel compelled to post daily but try to push myself to post at least every second day.
