Sitting in Natural Sepia

Walking through a symphony of sepia
The ground is slowly waking up
Sending out new sprouts of green
Textures stand out
In this monochrome setting
I smell the waking world
Fresh and crisp
In the cool April air

Autumn Carpet

Autumn Carpet by susanvg
Autumn Carpet, a photo by susanvg on Flickr.
The leafy curtain is falling turning into a forest carpet. Vistas are revealed - a peek at the river and the buildings of downtown Montreal. The air smells of autumn. I love the sound of the leaves as you walk on their dried remains.

There are still some bright blasts of colour, but slowly the world is turning sepia.

Camouflage

Camouflage, originally uploaded by susanvg.
Winter white has given way to sepia. Dried leaves cover the ground. Where the grass shows, it is still straw-like. This mourning dove poked in the leaves for food. The rustling sound gave away its location.
