Winter white has given way to sepia. Dried leaves cover the ground. Where the grass shows, it is still straw-like. This mourning dove poked in the leaves for food. The rustling sound gave away its location.
He seems to be very happy in the sunbeam. He's well camouflaged but not well enough for you not to see him. Mourning doves are one of my favourite birds. I love their song.

ReplyDeleteAnd a good camouflage it is indeed! I'm looking forward to sepia but we are still covered in dirty white!
ReplyDeleteSoon green will invade that sepia world!
ReplyDeleteIs'nt there any bird hidden here?
