It's a golden time of year. The sun rises later casting its golden glow on buildings. The fall colours linger, though the bright reds are fewer.

Lawns are carpeted with leaves while the trees' covering gets sparser. November - the month when colour slowly drains out of the landscape.
But for now it is still golden.
I'd love to crunch through those leaves in the golden light.
ReplyDeleteThe final stage of autumn foliage makes me somewhat sentimental and reminds me of some lines from “Stay Gold” by Stevie Wonder.
ReplyDeleteLife is but a twinkling of an eye
Yet filled with sorrow and compassion
though not imagined
All things that happen
Will age too old
Though gold
