Montreal is readying itself for the Grand Prix. Streets are being closed for the festivities and flags and banners have been hoisted.



There seems to be a proliferation of sporty cars and some of the drivers seem to think they are on the race track as they rev their motors and accelerate. I admit, I usually try to avoid much of the downtown at this time. The blare of music at unhealthy decibels, and the excesses ( of alcohol consumption and consumption in general) do not entice me!
