Stumped

Stumped

Searching for my muse
I wander the neighbourhood
Looking for inspiration
Some days I'm stumped

I have extolled the welcome spring
Waxed poetic over new arrivals
Birds and flowers
Marvelled at music

I play around with words
Is lack of muse amusing?
No wit, no gems
That percolate

A day without Erato
To stimulate my pondering
Perchance she'll visit later
To illuminate my wandering

Stump

This stump and its surrounding mushrooms looks like it should be in the middle of the woods, but it was just beside the sidewalk. A heavy rain brought out this crop. Nature has a way of regenerating which always gives me hope that we can't totally destroy it.

I am Stumped

A neighbour asked if he could trim a tree that was on my property and had branches over his. This is what he did! His reaction when I was upset was as astounding as what he did. So now I have to get someone to remove the stumps (yes - he cut another smaller tree, too) and have to get something planted to hide the mess.

They will be paying!
