Scottish weather - frequent drizzle followed by brief periods of su, white cloud and more rain. Robert Bruce stands looking over his realm near Stirling Castle.

Stirling Castle

The castle is really worth a visit, giving a good sense of how it was in the late 1500s. The tapestry studio where they are making replicas of the unicorn series of tapestries found in the Cloisters in New York was fascinating.

  1. Hi Susan,
It' s been a while since I visited my Reader and it's great to see that you have been sticking with this great challenge.
My sister-in-law and brother just returned from a trip to Scotland and LOVED it! I wonder if you intersected along the way.
    Great moments here,
    Bonnie

  2. I like the composition on the Robert Bruce statue as well as the castle. The contrast of the green against the castle and the many details in the landscape make it stand out.

  3. When my daughter visited Scotland, it rained the whole time - guess that's why it's so green! Such ancient architecture - and still holding up after all these centuries.
