Criss Cross

Criss Cross, originally uploaded by susanvg.
This blog helps me stay fit. I feel compelled to go out and take a photograph, so off I went for a good walk, but still did not get a shot that made me happy. The day was grey - no bright sun to create strong converging lines (daily shoot), just grey mist making the lines disappear in the distance.
The railroad bisects Casselman and the haunting sound of the train whistles can frequently be heard.

  1. A moody shot that could be the start of a mystery...

  2. I can so relate to going out, but not finding that satisfying shot! So frustrating! This shot looks very lonely. Nice work, though!

  3. The bridge seen off in the distance through the fog looks pretty cool.

  4. I actually like this shot. It demonstrates vanishing point well and the fog adds to the picture. I can almost hear the train whistle from here.

  5. I can so relate to the frustration of grey days - we've had too many lately. But even grey days leave many memories, such as your walk by this railway. Where are the rails leading, I wonder!

  6. The shot represents the grey days of winter well...I see "red" in the distance...perhaps a sign that winter does end eventually.
